I catapult. By that, I mean once Christmas is over, I am in a full-speed ahead, get-out-of-my-way clamor to get the decorations down and put away; to get closets, drawers and shelves re-organized; to get rooms rearranged; and to get all outgrown, unwanted & unnecessary items (read: clutter) purged (donated or thrown away). It's not that I don't love the sights and sounds of Christmas, but by Dec. 26th, I've already enjoyed it for a month - a pretty large 'seam allowance'. After the Magical Date, the decorations are dead weight that hold me back. And once they're put away, it's apparent how much of "regular life" has been neglected. I think my frantic 'move or be moved' mode is like a feng shui tornado, and when the dust settles, it's all good baby. So, Christmas, I love ya...but please don't let the door hit you on your way out. In our house, the spirit of Christmas is felt the whole year-through, as it should be, and I'll have these tiny memories to look back on. I'm excited for a big year of big changes, both personal and business-related...so let's get going!!! Happy [belated] New Year! All the best to you!
