Thank you to Kim from Spoonflower for posting about my "divulging sources" post today. I rec'd a handbag order from Kim's post in addition to throngs of traffic! :)

When I wrote the "divulging sources" post, I was thinking only of raw materials, not of other websites & blogs I frequent that have provided a strong foothold time and again. (Even the raw mats list is skimpy. They were completely top-of-mind, and I will revisit again.) One go-to source I've read for years and continue to read is Fashion-Incubator, written by Kathleen Fasanella. Kathleen has 27 years' experience in the business of sewn-product manufacturing and is, by trade, a master pattern maker. Passionate about helping small businesses - 'designer entrepreneurs' - succeed, she wrote "The Entrepreneur's Guide to Sewn Product Manufacturing." The book provides more than a basic understanding of the industry, and her blog fills in the gaps and then some...she covers a lot of territory. (To get the most out of her blog, reading the book is recommended.) Kathleen has also been kind enough to post about specific questions I've had and asked readers to chime in - she does this all the time! Most helpful!! If you join the F-I member forums, you'll also have the opportunity to interact with other DEs (and more sources about everything in the business!).
Kathleen posted a fun Color IQ test recently that I could not resist! Zero is perfect - I scored a 4. Of course, I wanted the 0, but my eyeballs were getting twitchy from staring at the screen!! Please post your score!!
