Glorious morning today! These are some of the folks Matt and I work out with on a regular basis, and we met up this morning for a 6 mi trail run. We're all different ages and ability levels, and everyone pushes each other the entire time. Just the sheer presence of another person sometimes is enough to keep you trucking up a hill or doing the last 10 air squats or burpees in a circuit - but then when they're also cheering you on & motivating you to push yourself, it really is powerful! I loooove to yell at people (in a positive way) so I'm always hootin' and hollerin: "you got it!" "c'mon!" "let's go!" "keep it movin - you can rest later!!"
Hard to tell in the "after" how sweaty & stinky we are! To accommodate all our fitness levels, the format of the run was a modified Indian run. Single file, regular jogging pace, with the person in the front dropping to the back of the line in 2 min intervals. And then walking for one minute every 6 mins, which gave the faster folks a chance to loop back for the slower folks. Everyone got a great workout!
