Yep, it's dark, it's old, it's uninspired, it's plain, it's poopy...honey, I know it! But we have lots of laughs, make tasty food and suh-weet memories in here nonetheless. We haven't touched the kitchen since we moved in (except for replacing the strawberry wallpaper) b/c we're not sure which walls we want to knock out and the money to do it has yet to show up under my mattress. The clocks were placeholders til we decided - set to local time, Colorado for Peanutman's Aunt and Barcelona for Peanutman's cousin - well that was 7 years ago. Time to go clockies...get it? Time? Clocks? buh-dum-bum.

The smaller prints are from oh-so-sweet, crazy-funny & talented Aimee Dolich of artsyville (I kept these Aimzer b/c they didn't go with my friend's kitchen and I loved them toooo much); the larger prints are from Christina Lyon of Studio Lyon - whose designs remind me of detailed henna tattoos (is it redundant to say a henna tattoo is detailed?). I love how the lemon/lime shades really come together with the pops of blues. I still have about 10 pieces of artwork to frame and hang in my living room - my head gets loopy thinking about how great it will be to see it all up some day. Hopefully not 7 years from now.
The top-left image says "the closer food is to its natural form, the better it is for you." A subject I will touch on in another post in the near future....we're doing a "biggest loser" style competition at our gym. Watching those quality calories lately! Shh. Don't tell my beer or my hips. They think we're carbo-loading for tomorrow morning's 2-hour workout.
