Hope your week has been on the upside of delightful so far! I'm finding it hard to post this week b/c I didn't take enough pics prior to the shroud of clouds that settled upon us these past few days...and heaven forbid I should plan my posts ahead! Ak-chuh-lee, I do plan them ahead somewhere in the recesses of my brain - the problem is that I just don't ak-chuh-lee write them out. (Off the subject: Ever count how many times nervous speakers say "actually" in a presentation? Lots! Vern Yip of Trading Spaces was notorious!)
I've been making Geo Grand swatchbooks on & off (on when my arm isn't sore from cutting swatches, off when it is). They turned out really sharp! I'll be mailing a healthy stack of these out tomorrow - thanks to the resellers and manufacturers for their interest!
When I created the cover design, I marked the fold and staples with tiny, light gray dashes - that was an immense help for a clean & consistent finish every time. It also cut-down on time spent in production line assembly (which I'm sure I made-up by adding time to the swatch-cutting).
My favorite part of the cover design is the section just below the fabrics, where my newly adopted tagline lives.
organic fabrics for hobby & home.
I added this to my etsy shop a few months ago in a completely improvisational moment. I like the way it rolls & decided to stick with it once I had a moment to step back and give it a proper analysis. It fits right now, yet it will be easy to edit should the occasion arise in the future.
