The card inspiration came from these 2 beautiful doilies, crocheted by my talented Grandma, Mary Agnes Gerling. The cream doilie has a special place in our home's decor all year, but the red one is displayed just at Christmastime. They both warm my heart ~ I wish I had realized how much I could have learned from my grandma before she was gone. They're also a reminder not to squander the penchant for creativity she passed onto my mom and, from my mom, to my sister and I. (Mom, when are you moving north??)
