Walk along with me ...

We just returned from a lightning fast & magical vacation! (Did you even know I was gone? I'm very sneaky that way!) We ventured about 4 hours from here to Ithaca, NY and stayed in this adorable, fairly modern yurt, Climbing Vine Cottage. The yurt, for us, was as perfect as perfect gets in a home-away-from-home. (To see inside pics, click on the previous link.)
- An organic flower & veggie garden outside the front door (used to teach preschoolers about organic gardening).
- A wild field of daisies outside the back door. Heart be still!
- Fresh eggs each morning, courtesy of the Climbing Vine Cottage chickens meandering about in the yard.
- All sorts of indie art inside the yurt, from individually handmade knobs on cabinet doors to locally made soaps and chocolate.
It was a comfortable respite after each day's hikes and activities. I'll share more pics from our hikes tomorrow.
