shown | Bright Lights, Big City duvet & quilt pattern in Shades of Grey
Fresh out of the dryer and ready for the chilly days around the corner! I think last night was the first night since June that I shut our bedroom windows - was a bit nippy! My feet hit the floor enthusiastically this morning, though, because I could not WAIT to wash this duvet and get it ready for action! It was time!
To me, a project is not complete until I've washed it (assuming it's a washable item). This was the final step for the Bright Lights, Big City duvet cover I made this past summer.
It turned out stupendously! Colors are as crisp and saturated after washing as before; no dyes/inks running; shrinkage was typical for a plain-woven cotton; wrinkling was barely discernible. Very fluffy and snuggly! And I'm suddenly feeling very sleeeeeeppppyyyyy......
See how beautifully these exteme colors washed together?
